Brief DescriptionThe Commercial Sales Manager is responsible for driving business growth, maximizing profitability, and overseeing the strategic and commercial aspects of operations.
Key Responsibilities Financial Management and Budgeting
- Perform financial analysis, forecasting, variance analysis, and reporting to ensure profitability and identify efficiencies.
- Safeguards compliance with ANDRITZ policies, i.e. for Quotation Approval, Insurance and Financing related topics.
Business Development and Opportunity Identification
- Conduct market research to identify and pursue new business opportunities, client leads, partnerships, or market trends.
Contract Negotiation and Management
- Perform initial review of contracts and redline Terms and Conditions with support of Legal.
- Identify commercial and contractual risks.
- Conduct risk assessments in cooperation with Engineering and Sales team.
- Initiate initial communication with ANDRITZ legal.
- Negotiate terms with clients (involve Director of Sales and legal as required).
- Conduct Quotation Approvals for firm proposals as per ANDRITZ policies.
Performance Monitoring and Strategy
- Analyze data and create reports on business performance, KPIs, pricing, and trends.
- Advise on strategic decisions.
- Review and identify improvements in company procedures/processes and policies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness with a better commercial outcome.

Job Specific Competencies - Extensive experience in larger sized B2B projects for industrial applications.
- Technical knowledge of plant engineering and construction preferred.
- Familiarity with CRM software and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and make strategic decisions.
- Knowledge and understanding of contract terms used in engineering and construction industry contracts.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills (written & verbal) for managing client relationships.
- Project management and leadership abilities to coordinate teams and oversee operations.
- Strong financial acumen and understanding of budgeting and forecasting.
- Outstanding time management and organizational skills.
- Commercial awareness partnered with a strategic mindset.
- Ability to collaborate and work closely with Sales.
- Self-driven with a hands-on approach.
Qualifications (Required) - Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field.
- Prior experience in commercial and/or operational leadership roles.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Other Valued Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (Preferred) - Engineering / manufacturing / construction project knowledge preferred.
- Master's degree in business administration or a related field is a plus.
- Technical degree is a plus.
