OverviewThe Commercial Planning Manager is a market-level leader responsible for driving and supporting all Commercial Planning activity that adheres to the PACE operating model including SGWS AOP Volume Planning, Supplier Fiscal Management from Pre-Fiscal Planning to LE Management, and 90-Day Program Management inclusive of Sales Alignment Management processes.
The Commercial Planning Manager facilitates the coordination required between and within Commercial Operations and Sales Leadership. Directs the development and implementation of business strategies, plans, data, and utilities to assist supplier partners, sales execution teams and strategic customers in the evaluation of alcohol beverage performance in the market, retailer, supplier, and consumer trends and expectations.
Primary Responsibilities- Responsible for support and/or coordination as needed of site level AOP planning and finalization with VP of Commercial Operations, Trade Development Directors and Commercial Finance (on-going LE monetization).
- Optimize productivity and profitability through the oversight of supplier pre-fiscal processes including Site Goal/Bottoms Up Build and Site Goal Review/Adjust.
- Collaborate with Trade Development Managers on Supplier Steps to Plan and Opportunity Trackers
- Attend MPP and Top Supplier Meetings to provide Trade Development and Sales Leadership with supplier plans for the market including new items, programming, and brand strategies.
- Serve as SAM (Sales Alignment Management) QB responsible for analyzing, developing and communicating supplier priorities to Trade Development and Sales Leadership.
- Provide market conditions and opportunities including customer trends and needs, state of the business, and account feedback.
- Assess brand performance to allow sales leadership to execute sales in the most efficient and targeted way possible.
- In conjunction with Commercial Operations VP, continue to embed 90 Day Program Management and Sales Alignment Management, facilitating collaboration across functions and consulting on process.
Additional Primary Responsibilities- Accountable for ensuring Sales Commits are entered for Annual and Program Planning in a timely manner.
- Oversee Supplier Fiscal Management and 90-Day Program Management processes including LE/Commit Management ensuring teams are trained on tools including E2Open/Liquid Annaul Manager,
- Fiscal and Program CPR, and adhering updates to LE Cadence.
- Align with Trade Development teams and Demand Planners to ensure proper forecast adjustments are made based on trends, commercial insights, and programming.
- Monitor sales performance against LEs and Brand Manager Commits, update Sales Leadership and provide mitigation ideas when needed.
- Working cross functionally, identify opportunities to for improvement in current processes and communication within scope.
- Support change management and training on PACE Commercial Planning processes and technology with Commercial Operations and Sales teams
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least 4 years of relevant experience required (7+ years experience preferred for Mgr level)
- Deep understanding of end-to-end business process from planning through execution
- Proven experience in influencing, presenting, articulating, and driving change to Executive Leadership as well as functional teams
- Ability to embed a cross-functional culture of harmonization of goals and objectives, process improvement, and value creation
- Experience with planning tools and multi-project environments
