Job Title: Commercial Loan Officer

Department: Commercial Lending
Location: Fort Washington, PA
Employment Type: Full-Time

What You'll Do

As a Commercial Loan Officer, you'll play a key role in helping local businesses achieve their financial goals while growing Trumark's commercial lending portfolio.
Develop business relationships: Generate new lending and deposit opportunities through networking, referral sources, centers of influence, and community involvement.
Manage a loan portfolio: Build and maintain strong relationships with business members while managing portfolio quality and profitability.
Analyze lending opportunities: Evaluate loan requests, analyze financial information, prepare credit recommendations, and present credit memos for approval.
Drive business growth: Meet sales, service, and profitability goals while maintaining a healthy pipeline of lending opportunities.
Support business members: Identify financial needs and recommend appropriate lending and business banking solutions.
Monitor portfolio performance: Conduct annual reviews, maintain risk ratings, monitor covenant compliance, and proactively identify portfolio risks.
Collaborate across teams: Partner with internal departments to deliver lending, cash management, and business banking solutions.
Represent Trumark in the community: Participate in business organizations, chambers of commerce, networking events, and professional associations to promote the credit union and generate new business opportunities.

What You Bring to the Table
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field required. In lieu of a degree, four years of related experience may be considered.
Experience: Minimum of five years of lending experience within the financial services industry.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing a commercial loan portfolio exceeding $50 million. Formal commercial credit training or experience.
Skills:
• Knowledge of commercial lending regulations and requirements.
• Strong business financial analysis and credit evaluation skills.
• Ability to make sound lending decisions and manage portfolio risk.
• Strong communication, relationship building, and business development abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and CRM tools.
