Commercial Lender (AVP or VP Level)
A respected and growing community bank in Southwest Michigan is seeking an experienced Commercial Lender to join its commercial banking team.
This is an opportunity for a relationship-driven banker to build and expand commercial relationships, manage an existing portfolio, and serve as a trusted advisor to local businesses. Key Responsibilities
• Develop new commercial banking relationships through business development and community involvement
• Structure and present commercial loan opportunities that meet client needs and Bank standards
• Manage, retain, and grow an existing commercial loan portfolio
• Analyze financial statements, cash flow, collateral, and credit risk
• Partner with Credit Analysts and internal teams throughout the lending process
• Conduct portfolio reviews, renewals, modifications, and covenant monitoring
• Build long-term relationships with business owners and deliver comprehensive banking solutions
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the Southwest Michigan business community
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
• 3+ years of commercial lending or commercial banking experience
• Proven success in business development, relationship management, and portfolio growth
• Strong commercial credit analysis and loan structuring skills
• Ability to analyze financial statements and assess credit risk
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills
• Established business relationships within Southwest Michigan preferred
