Overview

Ideal candidates must have a minimum of 3+ years of commercial litigation experience, and we welcome all experience levels to apply.

 

Candidates must be driven team players with excellent litigation, communication, writing and persuasive speaking skills, possess strong academic backgrounds, proven skills in research, and be self-starters who are able to handle assignments with minimal supervision. This position involves engagement in complex litigation, including construction defense and other civil litigation matters. Trial experience is preferred.

 

Candidates will work with a collaborative team under the direction of skilled leaders and trial attorneys.Candidates can be licensed and admitted to practice in Tennessee. Qualifications:

  • Duties and responsibilities include drafting correspondence, pleadings, opinion letters, and other documents; reviewing and analyzing documents for relevance and privilege; preparing for, attending, and summarizing depositions; coordinating with witnesses; communicating with clients, courts, and other counsel; and drafting and arguing motions.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills and command of the English language.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Local Rules, Rules of Civil Procedure, FRCP and other applicable codes and regulations.
  • Coordinate and communicate with parties outside the Firm including clients, courts, opposing and co-counsel, vendors, attorneys, secretaries, paralegals, case assistants, managers, and other staff.
