Key PurposeWe are seeking an experienced and highly strategic Commercial Finance Manager to serve as a key Finance Business Partner supporting a complex client account. This role will provide critical financial leadership, commercial insight, and operational support to account leadership and client stakeholders while ensuring contractual compliance, financial performance, and sustainable growth.
The Commercial Finance Manager acts as the primary financial advisor to Operations, helping drive profitability, forecasting accuracy, risk mitigation, and business performance. This position requires a strong combination of financial acumen, contract management expertise, client-facing leadership, and the ability to influence business decisions through data-driven analysis.
As a trusted partner to both internal leadership and the client, the Commercial finance manager will build transparency, strengthen collaboration, and support strategic initiatives across food and facility service operations.
Success CriteriaFinancial Leadership & Business Partnership- Serve as the lead Finance Business Partner to the account leadership team, providing financial guidance and strategic recommendations.
- Advise Operations Management on decisions impacting financial performance, profitability, and operational effectiveness.
- Partner closely with the Director of Operations and site leadership to drive achievement of financial and operational goals.
- Influence business decisions through analysis and interpretation of financial and non-financial performance indicators.
- Provide proactive insights into risks, opportunities, and emerging business trends.
Client Contract Management- Act as the financial and contractual expert for the client account.
- Ensure adherence to all client contractual terms, billing requirements, and performance obligations.
- Serve as a primary finance contact for client requests, analyses, pricing support, and ad hoc reporting needs.
- Build strong client relationships based on transparency, trust, and operational excellence.
- Support contract amendments, change notices, pricing reviews, and commercial negotiations as needed.
Financial Planning & Analysis- Lead monthly forecasting, budgeting, estimates, and long-range planning processes.
- Analyze monthly results and provide forward-looking forecasts along with actionable recommendations.
- Conduct detailed variance analyses and site-level performance reviews.
- Evaluate opportunities to improve profitability, operational efficiency, and return on revenue.
- Provide timely financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
Financial Reporting & Compliance- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and IFRS requirements.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, internal controls, accounting standards, and reporting requirements.
- Support internal and external audit requests.
- Monitor account performance metrics and proactively communicate expected deviations from budget or forecast.
Team Leadership- Lead and develop a team consisting of a Client Controller and Financial Analyst.
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance management to finance team members.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure effective execution of finance functions, including billing, payroll support, and local compliance activities.
Billing, Collections & Cash Management- Oversee the billing process and ensure compliance with contractual billing requirements.
- Validate supporting documentation for client invoicing and reimbursement requests.
- Participate in cash collection reviews and working capital discussions.
- Monitor financial processes to ensure timely revenue recognition and cash flow management.
Executive Communication & Presentations- Prepare and deliver monthly financial reviews and business presentations to account leadership and client stakeholders.
- Clearly communicate financial results, risks, opportunities, and strategic recommendations.
- Support special projects and executive-level analyses as required.
Ideal Candidate Experience- Bachelor's Degree (Finance, Accounting or a related field)
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis
- Advanced knowledge of GAAP and financial controls.
- Demonstrated experience presenting financial results to senior leadership and clients
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling
- CPA, CMA, MBA, or equivalent professional certification
- Knowledge of IFRS reporting requirements
- Experience in facilities management, food services, hospitality, outsourcing, or contract services industries
- Experience with ERP systems, business intelligence tools, and data visualization platforms

Physical Demands & Work Environment- Sitting at a computer for long periods of time, at least 90% of the time
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 10 pounds
- Must be able to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods
- Hybrid work based in South Florida. Must be able to be at client site at least 2-3 days a week during the slow season (Jun - Nov) and 4-5 days a week during the peak season (Dec - May)

The annual salary range for this position is $120000.00 - $130000.00 . Final compensation will be determined based on experience and skills and may vary from the above range.
