Full Job Description
A rapidly growing electrical contractor serving commercial, industrial, healthcare, manufacturing, warehouse, and municipal clients throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth market, is seeking an Electrical Estimator to join their team in the Prosper, TX area.

What You'll Do as the Electrical Estimator:
  • Prepare complete electrical estimates for commercial and light industrial construction projects
  • Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from drawings, specifications, and bid documents
  • Analyze plans, specifications, addenda, and project requirements to develop accurate pricing
  • Build and manage estimates using Accubid Anywhere
  • Solicit, evaluate, and compare vendor and subcontractor quotations
  • Identify scope gaps, design conflicts, project risks, and value engineering opportunities
  • Prepare proposals, clarifications, exclusions, and scope summaries
  • Support design-build budgeting and conceptual estimating efforts
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed
  • Collaborate with project managers, field leaders, vendors, and company leadership throughout the preconstruction process
  • Participate in project turnover meetings following contract award
  • Maintain estimating databases, labor units, and pricing information
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of estimating and preconstruction processes

Must-Haves as the Electrical Estimator:
  • 5+ years of electrical estimating experience
  • Experience estimating commercial and/or light industrial electrical projects
  • Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
  • Working knowledge of NEC requirements and commercial electrical construction methods
  • Experience preparing complete project estimates from bid documents
  • Proficiency with Trimble Accubid Anywhere
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight

Nice-to-Haves as the Electrical Estimator:
  • Design-build estimating experience
  • Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office
  • Experience with ConEst, McCormick, or similar estimating platforms
  • Field experience as an Electrician, Foreman, or Superintendent
  • Experience with healthcare, manufacturing, warehouse, industrial, or municipal projects
  • Prior experience working for an electrical subcontractor
