Full Job Description
Commercial Director US

Location: US based with frequent visits to our US offices in Norwalk and Louisville.

Contract: Permanent

This is a newly created, high-impact role reporting directly to the President of US, where you will lead the commercial agenda-shaping and delivering strategy across the US go-to-market including growth, pricing, proposition and channel approach to drive sustainable customer growth, revenue and margin performance.

They will translate business strategy into clear, actionable commercial priorities, aligning teams, investment, and decision-making behind the initiatives that unlock profitable growth while strengthening commercial discipline across the organisation.

Bringing both strategic insight and operational rigour, they will enable high-quality decision-making across growth, pricing, proposition development, and performance management-ensuring we deliver long-term value in a competitive market.

What you'll be doing:
  • Shaping the commercial agenda for the US market, ensuring growth priorities are aligned to strategy and market opportunity.
  • Setting direction across pricing, proposition, and channel activity to deliver sustainable revenue and margin growth.
  • Identifying and unlocking growth opportunities across segments, propositions, and commercial levers to strengthen competitive performance.
  • Translating strategy into clear commercial priorities, plans, and performance expectations across the market for both sales and retention.
  • Balancing growth ambition with commercial discipline, making informed trade-offs across revenue, margin, and customer outcomes.
  • Aligning teams around shared commercial objectives, ensuring clarity, focus, and accountability across functions.
  • Monitoring performance and using insight, data, and market trends to continuously refine priorities and approach.
  • Sponsoring key commercial initiatives and investments, ensuring focus on the highest-impact opportunities.
  • Leading in-period trading activity, translating strategy into decisive actions and market responses across channels.
  • Partnering closely with Commercial Finance to ensure robust, insight-led decision-making across pricing, propositions, and investment.
  • Building strong, effective relationships across the business to drive alignment and execution of commercial priorities.
  • Representing the commercial agenda in senior forums, providing clear recommendations and performance insight.
  • Driving consistency in how commercial priorities are communicated, delivered, and tracked across the market.
  • Working closely with Commercial Directors in each region to ensure learnings and best practice and solutions are shared to support Group growth.
