JOB DESCRIPTION

You are customer focused, enjoy building relationships and providing financial advice to your clients. A role as a Commercial Banker is for you.

As a Commercial Banker within the Aerospace, Defense, and Government Services (ADG) team, your role will be part of the national build out of the ADG industry discipline. You will be responsible for providing industry insight, expertise, and connectivity as a coverage partner to locally based in-region core bankers. Focus will be on markets outside of the National Capital Region, to include marquee markets within the Southwest and Pacific Regions.

Our Bankers are required to have deep working knowledge of our solutions including, but not limited to: Investment Banking, Credit, Treasury Services, International Banking, Syndicated Finance, Commercial Card and Merchant Services. Our strongest Bankers have a methodical approach to the market activity and prospecting. We deliver locally and therefore our ideal candidate is willing to travel to deliver industry market knowledge.

Job Responsibilities

  • Champion a culture of innovation and a customer centric mindset
  • Stay up to date with industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation or strategic partnerships
  • Find ways to further efficiency with existing technical infrastructure through automation while embracing the innovative opportunities offered by new technologies
  • Provide proactive coverage of your assigned multi-state/segment territory.

  • Partner with colleagues within Commercial & Specialized Industries, primarily with Aerospace, Defense and Government Services, Core, and Multinational Corporations as a Discipline banker

  • Actively partner across lines of business including but not limited to: Investment Banking, Syndicated Finance, Asset Based Lending and Direct Lending

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Five plus years lending or credit support related experience with a focus on business relationships
  • Understanding of Commercial Banking products and services
  • Ability to collaborate with internal partners and resources
  • Demonstrated experience of meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage, prioritize, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to establish credibility and strong partnership with senior business and control partners

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Bachelor27s degree and formal credit training preferred
  • Sales management, business development skills, proficiency in building and maintaining positive client relationships
  • Strong creative solutions, problem solving abilities, flexible to changing business priorities and ability to multitask
  • Excellent business judgment, strategic thinking, self-directed, proactive and creative
