ThePeraton Health, State and LocalSectorisseekingSoftware Developer, Advisorto join us in supporting andmaintainingthe Medicare FeeForService claims processing system. In this role, youwillserveas a principal technicalcontributor onanAgile teamproviding maintenance and operations support for theMedicareDurable MedicalEquipment (DME) contract.

As aSoftware Development, Advisor, you will help plan, direct, and coordinate software development across multiple functional areasof the DME system.This rolewilloperatein a highly structured, rigorous development environment, spanninghigh-level technical design,hands-on coding, unit testing, and defect resolution.At this level,the candidate isexpected to exercise a high degree of independent judgement, serve as a technical authority within the team, and provide leadership and mentorship to developers at all levels.

The Advisorwill design, develop, and enhance core software programs while adhering to strict coding standards. Quality is vital to this mission,thisrole mustbuild and execute your own unit test plans, test cases, and test data.Additionally, the Advisor roleis responsible forinstalling changes into internal testing regions,troubleshootingandresolvingdefects,and keeping technicaldocumentationcurrent.

PreferredQualifications:

  • Experience withAssemblerlanguage in a mainframe environment.
  • Familiarity with development and collaboration tools:GitHub, Jira, Confluence, Eclipse (IDz/RDz).
  • Exposure to modern languages such asJava or Python.
Target Salary Range$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individuals experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
