JOB DESCRIPTION:Andersen is looking for a process engineer to join our Coatings Engineering team! Primary responsibilities are to drive department and enterprise key initiatives through continuous process improvement, improving customer satisfaction, reducing waste, increasing efficiency, and eliminating variation in manufacturing processes. Candidates for this position should have energy and passion to improve both our production and functional processes while leading with integrity. Candidates for this role should have a strong technical aptitude, willingness to learn in a hands-on environment, and have a strong bias for action.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as a Process Engineer in our Bayport plant, supporting multiple coating lines, responding to day-to-day production needs such as equipment troubleshooting and quality concerns
- Partner with operations, RD&I, quality, maintenance, and supply chain functions to drive improvements within the value-stream through new process and technology development
- Use a science-based approach and tools to solve complex technical problems with practical solutions (i.e., design of experiments, process mapping, process capability analysis, pugh matrix, FMEA, etc.)
- Develop and execute improvements in alignment with strategic vision of modernizing equipment, people, and processes
- Manage the design, procurement, and startup of capital equipment projects
- Partner with the Safety Teams to ensure all new or modified processes meet or exceed corporate safety requirements
- Create training tools, documents and standard operating procedures for production processes ensuring consistent manufacturability
- Effectively communicate at all levels of internal and external customers
QUALIFICATIONS:- 4 year degree in Engineering (chemical engineering preferred)
- Strong aptitude in problem solving using analytical tools, making process improvements and technical writing.
- Strong communication and project management skills with ability to work in a cross functional team environment.
- Knowledge and experience with quality systems, statistical process control, process capability and lean manufacturing tools.
- Desire to continue to grow and develop personally.
- Ability to travel typically less than 10% of the time.
PAY RANGE:$78,824.00 - $122,176.00

PROFIT SHARING: In 2026 Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $3,600 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit Sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
