CMS Certification SpecialistDescription:
Diversified Systems is searching for a CMS Certification Specialist leads efforts to obtain and maintain CMS certification for Medicaid system modernization initiatives and serves as the primary liaison between the project team, the State Medicaid Agency, and CMS reviewers.
Responsibilities:
- Developing certification strategies and plans
- Preparing and managing certification documentation and deliverables
- Coordinating CMS reviews and certification milestones
- Monitoring compliance with federal requirements
- Supporting operational readiness activities
Requirements:
- Experience with CMS certification, certification reviews, or CMS Streamlined Modular Certification (SMC)
- Experience with Medicaid Enterprise Systems (MES), MMIS modernization, Provider Management, Eligibility, Claims, Financial Management, or related Medicaid solutions
- Knowledge of CMS certification guidance, MITA, federal funding requirements, and Medicaid program operations
- Experience preparing certification plans, operational workbooks, status reports, and review documentation
- Ability to collaborate effectively with state agencies, system integrators, vendors, and CMS stakeholders
- Strong project management, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
