The CMM Programmer will be responsible for programming coordinate measuring machines ensuring the measurement system provides accurate and reliable results. This role will ensure compliance with quality requirements and ensure that manufactured products meet specified standards.
Responsibilities of the CMM Programmer:- Create, modify, validate and maintain Coordinate Measuring Machine programs for production components and calibration of tooling.
- Design and develop CMM fixtures/work holding.
- Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and CAD Models
- Work with quality engineering to perform Gauge R&R, capability studies, correlations and RCCA activity.
- Troubleshoot CMM programs, probes, fixtures and measurement issues.
- Establish and oversee weekly and daily maintenance of CMM instruments.
- Track CMM performance to ensure calibration is accurate.
- Train technicians and operators on program setup and execution.
Qualifications of the CMM Programmer:- Minimum of five years of experience in CMM programming and dimensional inspection.
- Hands on CMM experience
- Active DoE Q Clearance or TS Clearance
- Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ANSI Y14.5.
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize projects to meet completion dates.
- Ability to execute tasks assigned with minimum supervision.
- Strong computer software skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Programming and operation experience using Zeiss Calypso software and CMMs.
- Experience programming optical CMMs (ViScan preferred)
- Modeling experience with Creo or other software.
- Experience with industry manufacturing quality systems. i.e. NQA-1, AS9100, 21 CFR Part 820, ISO 13485
Compensation for the CMM Programmer:- Salary Range: $80,000 - $130,000 *flexible based on experience*
