DESCRIPTIONUnder general supervision, performs waived, moderate, and high complexity testing in an Immunogenetics and transplantation (HLA) laboratory; evaluates test results; performs and evaluates quality control procedures; performs preventive maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting. Provides laboratory services in a timely manner and consistently delivers excellent customer service. Serves as a technical resource for customers and other staff. Adheres to all safety policies. Performs other related CLS functions as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license or limited CLS license in Histocompatibility.
- Applicable clinical laboratory experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- One (1) year of professional-level experience in an accredited HLA laboratory.
- A Bachelor's degree in a Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or related science
- Certification by the American College of Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ACHI) as a Certified Histocompatibility Technologist (CHT) or ACHI Certified Histocompatibility Specialist (CHS) or certification as a Medical Technologist by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, MT(ASCP)
- Experience with various HLA testing methodologies such as HLA genotyping by NGS/RT-PCR/SSO/SSP, flow crossmatch, Single Antigen Bead assay, Flow PRA, etc.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS- Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays, overtime, and at various locations as necessary in accordance with operational needs.

Annual Full Pay Range: $110,079 - $145,408 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $52.72 - $69.64
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
