DESCRIPTION

Under general supervision, performs waived, moderate, and high complexity testing; evaluates test results; performs and evaluates quality control procedures; performs preventive maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting. Provides laboratory services in a timely manner and consistently delivers excellent customer service. Serves as a technical resource for customers and other staff. Adheres to all safety policies. Performs other related CLS functions as required.

The Rapid Response Lab provides services to Jacobs Medical Center, Moore's Cancer, and other outpatient areas. A CLS performs patient testing and works in subspecialty areas of the laboratory - Hematology, Coagulation, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Microbiology, and Blood Gas.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Graduation from college with a major in a relevant field.
  • Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) or appropriate sub-specialty license issued by the State of California, Department of Public Health.
  • Knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of duties assigned to the position.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience with SoftLab LIS and Epic.
  • Experience with the following automated instrumentation Sysmex XN, Iris IChem\IQ, TEG, and Roche Cobas.
  • Generalist skills - Hematology/Chemistry.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $110,079 - $145,408 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $52.72 - $69.64
