Internal Job Title: CloudOps Administrator

Job Location: Must be based within the continental USA

Position Summary

As a Cloud Ops Administrator you will be responsible for configuring, monitoring, and managing the cloud instances of CBN STI solutions for our North American customers. In this position you will manage and provide ongoing support to ensure they remain highly available, reliable, and secure.

Core Responsibilities
  • Cloud Administration
    • Install, configure, and maintain services, instance nodes, networks, and other IT infrastructure components.
    • Design, maintain, and improve infrastructure-as-code and automation pipelines to reduce manual operations and improve reliability and repeatability.
  • Performance Monitoring and Tuning
    • Monitor system and database instances performance, identify issues, and optimize performance.
  • Security Management
    • Implement and manage security measures to protect systems and databases instances from unauthorized access and threats.
  • Backup and Recovery
    • Develop and implement backup and recovery plans to ensure services and instances are ready and available 24/7 and on demand.
  • Troubleshooting and Support
    • Provide technical support for systems and instances in test and production environments.
  • Documentation
    • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system and database configurations, changes, processes, and procedures.
  • Various Other Duties and Responsibilities


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Fluent in English (speak, read, write).
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science (or related field) or equivalent additional relevant experience
  • Knowledge of system administration, cloud computing (Azure), security best practices
  • Technical knowledge of:
    • O/S: Linux, Windows Server, cloud instances
    • Virtualization: VMWare, XCP-NG, JVM
    • Containerization/Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes
    • Deployment/Configuration: Puppet, Terraform, Ansible, Bicep, Helmchart
  • 4-7 years of system/cloud administration experience (minimum 1 year of cloud administration)
  • Able to work an on-call rotation of 1 week on/5 weeks off
  • Able to travel approx. 2-6 weeks/year

Preferred Qualifications
  • CompTIA Server+ or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or AWS Associate certfication(s)
  • Hands-on experience supporting hybrid cloud environments
  • DevOps knowledge and experience
  • Automation knowledge and experience
