Position Overview Cloud Solution Architect responsible for designing, implementing, and governing AWS and Azure cloud infrastructure and foundations. The role focuses on cloud architecture, automation, security, governance, cost optimization, application migration, and hybrid-cloud integration.
Key Responsibilities - Design and provision AWS/Azure cloud infrastructure and foundation/landing-zone capabilities.
- Architect application onboarding across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
- Develop cloud governance frameworks covering security, compliance, cost, performance, and operational standards.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC), configuration management, DevOps, scripting, and deployment automation.
- Support cloud migration, modernization, refactoring, and on-premises/mainframe integration.
- Implement cloud security, IAM, encryption, data protection, and compliance controls.
- Drive cloud cost management and optimization using tools such as AWS Cost Explorer and Azure Cost Management.
- Establish monitoring, dashboards, SLAs/KPIs, performance management, and operational processes.
- Review vendor architecture and implementations and collaborate with application, network, security, infrastructure, and business teams.
- Manage cloud risks, disaster recovery, resiliency, and business continuity.
- Maintain architecture documentation, governance standards, and stakeholder reports.
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of IT experience.
- 2+ years hands-on AWS and Azure experience.
- Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, IaaS/PaaS/SaaS, security, IAM, networking, monitoring, and cost management.
- Experience with IaC, DevOps, automation, scripting, and containers.
- Experience with cloud governance and enterprise cloud standards.
- Experience with cloud migration and hybrid/on-premises integration.
- Strong communication, documentation, stakeholder management, and multitasking skills.
Preferred - AWS/Azure certifications.
- GCP or multi-cloud experience.
- Cloud governance, FinOps, security/compliance, and DR experience.
- Vendor/enterprise architecture experience.
- Mainframe/cloud integration experience.
Ideal Candidate hands-on AWS/Azure Cloud Architect with strong cloud governance, automation, security, cost optimization, migration, and enterprise stakeholder management experience.
