Job Description:

As a Cloud Engineer Sr Principal, the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our intelligence customer in Chantilly, VA. You will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud infrastructure that supports scalable, secure, and high-performing applications.
  • Architect, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure platforms
  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable, resilient, and secure cloud solutions
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and optimize cloud environments for cost and efficiency
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver cloud-native solutions


WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your technology expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Cloud Engineer Sr Principal must have:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related analytical, scientific, or technical discipline
  • Experience: 10+ years of related experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure roles
  • Technical skills: Experience managing AWS and Azure hybrid/multi-cloud environments; experience with RHEL system administration; strong proficiency with IaC tools; solid understanding of networking concepts; experience with containerization, orchestration, and serverless technologies; strong knowledge of cloud security principles and best practices; familiarity with monitoring and logging tools
  • Security clearance level: TS/SCI w/ Poly (or eligibility)
  • US citizenship required
  • Role requirements: DoD 8570 IAT II Certification


The likely salary range for this position is $164,382 - $201,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
