Position Description: CGI Federal is looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to help support a program we are working on for the Army's PL ALTESS contract. PL ALTESS, or Product Lead for Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology Enterprise Systems and Services, is a key U.S. Army organization providing IT services and support to the Army and Department of Defense. As a managed service provider, ALTESS delivers infrastructure, platform, and application services across data centers and commercial clouds. It plays a crucial role in modernizing IT systems by migrating them to the cloud and managing mission-critical applications to ensure Army readiness. ALTESS oversees IT service delivery across various hosting locations, aligning with Department of Defense digital transformation strategies as part of PEO Enterprise.
This position is located in USA VA Radford -- USAVARAD1.
Your future duties and responsibilities: This position is for a Cloud Engineer supporting the ALTESS commercial
cloud services infrastructure. ALTESS is a managed service provider for Army and
DoD IT systems and plans to offer managed cloud services in public clouds, MS Azure,
AWS and Private Clouds.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role: a) 10+ years Experience in Computer Science or IT.
b) CompTIA Security+.
c) DoD Secret Security Clearance.
d) Mid to senior level Cloud Engineer experience.
e) Security+ (Or equivalent IA cert) and computing environment certification (i.e.
MCSD Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, etc.).
f) Strong verbal and written communication skills.
g) Experience effectively managing multiple large-scale projects.
h) Experience automating routine administrative tasks desired.
i) Strong experience with IPSEC/VPN, and other secure transport technologies as
well as Border Gateway Protocol.
j) Proven experience migrating on-premises applications to the cloud.
k) Understanding of network, storage, server, and application technologies.
l) Strong knowledge of automation concepts, tools, and scripting languages (Ansible,
Terraform, Python, Powershell, Bash, Puppet, Chef, etc.).
m) Working knowledge of code repositories tools such as Git.
n) Working knowledge of DoD STIGs, and IA Vulnerability Management (IAVM).
o) Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipeline experience such as Jenkins,
Travis CI, AWS CodeDeploy.
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
a) Senior IT experience in networking or equivalent experience.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $127,500.00 - $251,100.00.
