The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and improving enterprise IT infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. This role focuses on troubleshooting complex technical issues, ensuring system reliability, and supporting business-critical applications and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, application, and cloud-related issues.
- Monitor system performance and implement improvements to enhance stability and reliability.
- Maintain servers, applications, and system configurations.
- Perform system upgrades, patching, and configuration changes.
- Support hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to resolve technical issues.
- Document support activities and maintain accurate records.
- Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in systems administration, technical support, cloud operations, or a similar IT role.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows systems, networking, and enterprise applications.
- Experience supporting Microsoft Azure environments.
- Working knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange, SQL Server, and virtualization.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPN, TCP/IP).
- Experience supporting hybrid (cloud and on-premises) environments.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems and service management processes.
- Relevant technical certifications are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in regulated industries.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and data privacy standards.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Microsoft Power Platform, or AI productivity tools.
Working Conditions
