Description

REQUIRED: Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
LOCATION: Full-time, onsite in Reston, VA

We are seeking a Cloud Developer with strong Python skills and hands-on experience building, deploying, and maintaining cloud-native solutions on AWS. This role focuses on developing geospatial data capabilities, automating cloud workflows, and managing scalable compute resources across a secure, modern cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities

In this challenging yet rewarding role as a Cloud Developer, you are an integral part of what brings our Company's mission to life. You must have the following required skills, certifications and demonstrated experience in and/or with:
  • Using Python.
  • Geo-spatial software and programming packages and data formats.
  • Creating and managing AWS resources, including provisioning EC2 instances, writing and deploying Lambda functions, creating and writing to S3, and managing authorization appropriately across resources with IAM policies.
  • Using GitHub.


Highly Desired Qualifications

Other skills and demonstrated experiences that are highly desired but not mandatory to perform the work, include:
  • Deploying AWS applications with AWS's Cloud Development Kit (CDK). Ansible and Terraform are NOT a substitute for CDK.
  • Building and deploying containerized applications.
  • Building, programmatically working with and maintaining search engines such as ElasticSeach, Lucene, or AWS's OpenSearch.
  • Creating, programmatically working with and maintaining SQL and NO-SQL databases.
  • Other non-AWS cloud services such as, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure.

Certification(s)
AWS DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect, or SysOps Administrator
