Full Job Description
Everforth ECS is seeking a Cloud Automation Engineer to deploy and support Azure cloud environments for multiple coalition Mission Partner Network enclaves in support of the DoW community. This role is hands-on and focused on automation, including writing infrastructure code, improving deployment pipelines, and helping teams operate more efficiently in the cloud.

The position works closely with engineering and security teams to deliver consistent, repeatable infrastructure and deployment patterns. The focus is on doing the work, solving problems, and improving how cloud environments are built and maintained over time.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain cloud infrastructure in AWS and Azure
  • Write and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, including reusable modules
  • Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab, or Jenkins
  • Implement and support Git-based deployment workflows
  • Automate provisioning of cloud resources, including networking, compute, and storage
  • Support identity and access management, including SSO, roles, and permissions
  • Troubleshoot issues across environments and assist teams during deployments
  • Refactor and improve existing infrastructure and pipelines where needed
  • Document solutions and patterns for reuse across teams
  • Support infrastructure for data platforms, including storage, data pipelines, and integration with analytics tools
  • Help enable environments that support AI or machine learning workloads where needed
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Salary Range: $170,000-200,000

  • Ability to work in a hybrid capacity in Fairfax, VA (up to 3 days in office).
  • Ability to travel throughout the lifespan of the Program to CONUS / OCONUS customer sites and government installations.
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or similar roles.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS and or Azure in production environments.
  • Strong experience writing and maintaining Terraform code.
  • Experience with the following:
    • Building and supporting CI/CD pipelines.
    • Supporting operational aspects such as monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency with Git and version-controlled workflows.
  • Solid understanding of cloud networking concepts such as VPCs, subnets, routing, and security groups.
  • Understanding of security fundamentals, including identity and access management, SSO, RBAC, and encryption.
  • Scripting experience using Python, Bash, or similar.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with a proven ability to weigh the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and identify the most appropriate solution.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and oral/written communication skills, with the ability to effectively and professionally interact with a diverse set of stakeholders (from peers to end-users to executive management).
