Tuknik Government Services, LLC a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Cloud Architect with a TS/SCI security clearance to support TGS and our government customer at Fort Belvoir, VA. This position is for a Future New Business Opportunity.

Tuknik Government Services, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a highly skilled and certified Cloud Architect with deep expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and hands-on experience across multi-cloud environments including Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Oracle Cloud. The ideal candidate will design, deploy, and secure scalable cloud solutions that support federal missions and comply with FISMA Moderate/High, FedRAMP, and NIST standards. This position offers the opportunity to work with advanced cloud technologies, automation frameworks, and AI-driven tools while contributing to mission-critical modernization initiatives.

The Cloud Architect will be responsible for architecting, implementing, and optimizing secure and resilient cloud environments, with a primary focus on AWS. The role includes designing multi-tier applications, leading cloud migration efforts, ensuring federal compliance, and integrating automation and AI/ML capabilities into cloud operations. The Cloud Architect will collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, DevOps, and program teams to deliver modern, scalable, and compliant cloud solutions for federal customers.

Key responsibilities include:

Cloud Architecture & Engineering
  • Architect and implement secure, scalable, and resilient cloud solutions primarily on AWS, with integration across Azure, GCP, and Oracle Cloud.
  • Design and deploy multi-tier, fault-tolerant applications using cloud-native services.
  • Lead and co-design cloud migration efforts from legacy systems to modern cloud platforms.
  • Develop enterprise cloud reference architectures, standards, and reusable patterns.
  • Integrate AI/ML capabilities and automation into cloud operations to enhance efficiency and scalability.

DevOps, Automation & IaC
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to enable CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or similar tools.
  • Automate provisioning, configuration management, and cloud operations.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 5+ years of hands-on cloud architecture experience, with a strong focus on AWS.
  • Proven experience in multi-cloud environments (Azure, GCP, Oracle).
  • Experience supporting U.S. Federal agencies and securing FISMA Moderate/High systems.
  • Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Python, Java, Bash, or OpenTofu.
  • Experience with DevOps tools including Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and Git.

Required Skills and Competencies:
  • Deep understanding of AWS cloud architecture, cloud-native services, and best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security frameworks and federal compliance requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
  • Ability to design scalable, fault-tolerant, and secure cloud architectures.
  • Strong understanding of cloud networking, identity management, encryption, and monitoring.

Clearance Requirement:
  • TS/SCI security clearance
