Compensation: $72,000 - $139,650 / year

Description

About The Role:

The Cloud and WebApp Engineer will have a primary focus on Linux endpoint management. The role requires a strong knowledge of Linux administration, patch management, virtualized environments, and the ability to collaborate across IT, operations, and executive leadership.

Clearance & Location Requirements:
  • All applicants must be able to obtain/maintain an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
  • This is an on-site position requiring at least 1 day in office, based out of our Arlington, VA location.


Key Responsibilities

What You Will Do:
  • Assist in management of virtual desktop infrastructure for Linux
  • Implement compliance checks for VDI patch management
  • Deploy and manage Linux virtual machines in VMWare vCenter and Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL)
  • Assist in management of Red Hat Satellite infrastructure
  • Install, upgrade, and manage Linux based applications (e.g. - Jira, Confluence, Crowd, FlexNet, Teamwork Cloud, Nagios)
  • Install, upgrade, and manage database infrastructure for applications (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server)
  • Manage and maintain application security components (SSL certificates, password management for Linux resources)
  • Create and update Linux systems documentation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

Who You Are (Required):
  • Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent full-time professional experience
  • 3 years of full-time professional experience
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time as needed

Pay Range*: $72,000 - $114,450 or $85,500 - $139,650

This amount may not be reflective of actual compensation that may be earned as pay is dependent on a candidate's experience, skills, and education. The posted range does not include bonuses, commissions, tips, or other benefits. IDT is often looking to place multiple candidates at various levels. Therefore, more than one pay range has been included, commensurate with experience.
