Position Overview:The Clinical Training Specialist is a key member of the US Training team. This role is responsible for delivering clinical education to surgeons, nurses, and reprocessing technicians, as well as onboarding and certifying new Clinical Sales Specialists. The position also manages the operations of one or more US training centers.
The Clinical Training Specialist ensures that both internal and external stakeholders develop the knowledge and skills needed to use DEXTER safely and effectively and to deliver an outstanding customer experience.

Duties and Responsibilities: Training Delivery- Conduct training sessions for new Surgeons, Nurses, and Reprocessing Technicians, both in dry lab and wet lab settings, as well as on-site at the Center for the Future of Surgery (CFS) lab in San Diego as well as other centers as needed
- Compliantly customize training materials and methods to meet the specific needs of different stakeholders
On-boarding and Certification- Deliver internal training programs to onboard and certify new Clinical Sales Specialists, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and skills required for their roles
- Oversee the certification process, assessing and evaluating trainees' performance
Central Training Center Management- Manage the CFS training center (and others as needed) relationship with owners, internal & external stakeholders including stock, logistics, and maintenance
- Conduct training sessions using different modalities (porcine, cadaveric, inanimate, etc)
Refresher & continuous Training- Plan and execute refresher training programs to ensure that stakeholders' knowledge and skills remain up to date
- Perform continuous training to ensure all stakeholders have optimal skills and knowledge
Stakeholder Engagement- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand training requirements and align training delivery with customer needs and company goals
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement
Documentation and Reporting- Maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, and performance assessments
- Prepare regular reports on training outcomes and provide insights for improvement
DEXTER Case Support- Obtain necessary vendor credentialing to access the operating room in a variety of hospitals, ASCs, or wherever DEXTER procedures are performed
- Provide technical support on the DEXTER Robot to surgeons, when necessary
RequirementsEducation
Experience, Skills & Competencies
- 5+ years' experience in medical device training
- Background in MedTech environment; laparoscopy and/or robotic experience is a plus
- Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities
- Exceptional planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively and to be creative and flexible under tight deadlines
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams
Additional Requirements
- Up to 50% US domestic travel during most of a calendar year required
- Ability to stand and work in operating room environments, including extended surgical procedures when needed
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites
