Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Director of Operations, provides program management and oversight for the clinic and ensures all federal and state regulations and policies and procedures of the Root center for Advanced Recovery are adhered to. Responsibilities include but are not limited to; ensuring proper care is being provided in accordance with program standards, develops and provides ongoing clinical and administrative development for staff and program planning. Serves as a guide for case conferencing and creates and reviews treatment plans as needed. Additionally, performs full range of counseling and clinical duties to select caseload of clients as directed.

Position Responsibilities and Expectations:
• Counseling Clients: maintains select case load of clients as directed; facilitates counseling services in order to assist clients in reaching treatment goals, provides on going education and support.
• Supervision: provides clinical supervision to all staff and interns. Coordinates activities, client caseload, and work assignments for staff • Communication: schedules individual supervisory conferences for staff and holds regularly scheduled staff meetings.
• Trainings: provides on-going training programs and in-services related to agency policies and annual competency criteria.
• Development: assesses professional capabilities of licensed and unlicensed staff and provides performance evaluations in compliance with agency standards. Encourages staff to further their education utilizing the agency's professional growth benefit.
• Case Conferences: provides guidance and direction to assist staff with questions/concerns related to client treatment plans; case management; or other clinical/counseling areas.
• Quality Improvement: works in collaboration with the QI Coordinator, Chief HR Officer and under the direction of the Director of Operations to maintain compliance with quality assurance processes as required by CARF. Assists with CARF clinic audits.
• Administrative: including but not limited to: providing staff information for HR/payroll management, all probationary and annual staff evaluations; new hire orientation training for new staff; corrective action and performance improvement plans when deemed necessary. Participates in the recruitment and selection of clinic personnel and assures sufficient staff are hired.
• Record keeping and documentation: completes clinical and statistical reports routinely and when delegated by the clinical services director, including staff/client ratios, client treatment plans, discharge and/or transfer summaries, and other recordkeeping paperwork related to treatment as required by the agency's program policies and procedures. All reports and requests for information are submitted timely. Special Responsibilities and Expectations Monitors overall clinic compliance with CARF and other regulatory standards. Ensures compliance with HIPAA Privacy and Security policy and procedures. Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted or changed as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

Graduate degree in a related field with appropriate licensure in the state of CT as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Psychologist. A minimum of four years of full-time experience, in a behavioral health setting, with at least one of those years in a managerial or supervisory capacity. Effective 10/1/21, Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) will no longer be considered
