Full Job Description
Sign-On Bonus for Bilingual Applicants: $2,000 (Distributed in 4 parts: $500 after 30 days, $500 after 90 days, $500 after 150 days, and $500 after 210 days of employment)
The bilingual bonus applies to client-facing positions and will be awarded upon successful completion of the language test.

JOB TITLE: Clinical Supervisor
LOCATION: Palm Avenue Detox, San Mateo, CA
Employment Type: Full-time

This position provides leadership, support, and oversight for all elements of the clinical work at our Detox program, including training & skill development, coaching, performance feedback, and enforcement of program rules. This position ensures adherence to all program and agency's policies and procedures and assists Program Manager to develop and deliver high quality client care in accordance with Horizon Services standards and applicable federal, state, and county regulations. This is a supervisory position and is considered part of the program leadership team. This position will also provide direct client services, such as individual and group counseling, and crisis support.

What will make you successful in this role?
  • Serve as designated LPHA (Licensed Practitioner of Healing Arts) for assigned DMC-ODS clients.
  • Provide on-call consultation and support for supervisees during non-regular work hours
  • Ensure quality care for residents/beneficiaries consistent with regulatory standards and program policies and assist in improvement of services as needed
  • Provide crisis support intervention and de-escalation of conflict as needed
  • Develop knowledge of community resources related to health, mental health, finances, case management, and housing.
  • Consult with clinical staff to assess, prioritize, and plan case management referrals and facilitate connecting to off-site resources and care. Assist residents/beneficiaries to access outside services, as needed/assigned
  • Monitor residents/beneficiaries to ensure appropriate supervision and knowledge of residents/beneficiaries and activities
  • Facilitate conflict resolution meetings with staff and residents/beneficiaries as needed
  • Provide direct counseling services (individual and group) for those designated as 3.3 and 3.5
  • Punctuality and attendance to perform duties as scheduled
What else is required?
  • Must have a BBS associate number or a BBS license.
  • Valid California driver's license with a good driving record and car insurance.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certificates are desirable.
  • Fingerprinting/drug testing required at time of hire.
  • TB Test
  • Preferred: Bilingual in English, Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, or Tagalog
