The Clinical Scientist/Rater Trainer supports the Assessments Department in delivery of Assessments contracted services on assigned projects. The Clinical Scientist/Rater Trainer will be utilized to develop/contribute to rater training material and provide protocol, scale and disease-specific training. Ensure that investigators and site personnel administer clinical outcome assessments consistently across sites.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Administer CNS rating scales across indications such as: Alzheimer's, major Depressive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, and Schizophrenia.
- Contribute to the development of rater training materials including powerpoint presentations, competency exams, reference guides and instructional videos.
- Contribute to draft protocol review, scale selection, and may contribute to protocol design and development, offering clinical expertise.
- Conduct rater training on protocol specific scales, as appropriate.
- Conduct rater certification on protocol specific scales, as appropriate.
- Conduct rater surveillance on protocol specific scales, as appropriate.
- Evaluate rater performance and scoring accuracy.
- Prepare protocol supportive documents.
- Provide professional, collaborative, and scientific feedback to investigators.
- Present project related or other training to site staff or cross-functional teams.
- Provide scientific and clinical expertise to sponsors, study teams, and CRC.
- Utilize software/websites (e.g., Monday.com Google Forms, Dropbox.com, video management websites).
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications- Master's Degree or Doctoral Level Degree in Psychology, Pharmacology, Neuropsychology or other life science degree equivalent in a related field of study, or equivalent education, training and experience.
- Deep understanding of and expertise in psychological assessments.
- Demonstrated experience supporting research and evaluation projects in a contract research organization (CRO) or research-related organization.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with statistics (SPSS preferred; graduate level coursework).
- Demonstrated knowledge of research and evaluation project design and methods.
- Strong computer skills including but not limited to proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and project management software (i.e., Monday.com; advanced proficiency with Excel (e.g., creating and managing formulas; use of macros, pivot tables, and v-lookup; etc.).
