Full Job Description
The Clinical Quality Nurse (CQN) has good knowledge of quality improvement (QI) standards such as accreditation, regulatory, HEDIS, Value Based Purchasing, Early and Periodic Screening Diagnostic and Treatment (EPSDT) and/or Medicare STARS. He/she assists in the development, implementation, and maintenance of a global QI Program for Johns Hopkins Health Health Plans (JHHP). He/she plays a major role in data collection of quality indicators to aggregate, trend, analyze and report results. He/she will use sound clinical judgment in all areas of quality improvement particularly when conducting medical record audits. He/she possesses a strong ability to review data and present recommendations for improvement. Acts as liaison to JHHP and external customers.

Requirements:

Education:

Requires completion of an approved course of study in Nursing; BSN preferred.

Work Experience:

Clinical Quality Nurse I -

Work requires a minimum of two years' experience in managed care, a provider setting, or health care regulatory agency environment with a minimum of two years of experience in the area of HEDIS, utilization management, or quality improvement.

Clinical Quality Nurse II -
In addition, requires one year of experience as a CQN I in the JHHC QI Department.

Salary Range: Minimum 39.64/hour - Maximum 61.45/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
