Candidates hired into this position may have the ability to work remotely.DESCRIPTIONPopulation Health Quality analyst will use Epic's Healthy Planet module to build and maintain quality tools to monitor state and federal programs for UCSD and affiliates.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Seven (7) years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor's degree in related area plus three (3) years of related experience/training.
- A broad and / or in-depth knowledge of 1-2 areas of focus in clinical applications specialty area(s). Knowledge of systems and functions, including design, development, implementation, user support and training, maintenance, quality assurance, and system testing and evaluation.
- Strong problem-resolution skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose problems, and develop, test, and implement appropriate and effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively, train, support, and work collaboratively with users of clinical information systems at all professional and technical levels.
- Detail oriented, with proven organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and see projects through to completion on deadline.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to convey technical information and instructions to all levels of clinical applications users in a specific, clear, and concise manner.
- Strong analytical skills and knowledge in documentation and reporting, with the ability to design and execute tests, analyze system performance data, and produce substantive reports and analyses.
- Ability to work with senior staff and managers, serving as a technical resource and providing advice and counsel on issues of functionality, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, policy, and performance.
- Experience and proven success in information systems implementation, development and support within a large-scale healthcare organization.
- Demonstrated ability to provide expert consultative guidance and direction on change initiatives affecting clinical care processes.
- Demonstrated ability in workflow and data analysis and design techniques, including needs assessment, specification development, quantitative methods, planning and gap analysis.
- Ability to effectively utilize system tools to meet functionality needs of users.
- Ability to plan and organize day-to-day activities along with short and long-term projects; in-depth knowledge of organizational and project planning processes and ability to produce and maintain high quality planning documents.
- Dedicated team player.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Demonstrated experience as a major participant in a clinical system implementation.
- Certification in Healthy Planet or strong understanding of Epic Ambulatory.
- Experience with quality programs such as MSSP ACO, AMP, IHA, QIP, HEDIS, NCQA, AHA, or similar.
- Experience using Epic to achieve quality measure success.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
