Additional Information About the RoleWe are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Clinical Pharmacist Lead to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting safe and effective medication use across the organization through strong clinical knowledge, teamwork, and operational excellence.
Schedule:- Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
- Every 4th weekend (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM)
- Holiday rotation
Key Responsibilities:- Verify medication orders and collaborate with nursing staff
- Manage inventory, medication prep, and Pyxis refills
- Support medication delivery, patient counseling, and prior authorizations
- Participate in REMS programs and departmental committees
- Contribute to workflow optimization, policy development, and patient safety initiatives

Preferred QualificationsRole PurposeAssess, monitor, initiate, and modify medication use according to patient condition and age specific criteria. Serves as a liaison between the pharmacy department and other health care practitioners in matters related to specialized area of pharmacy practice. Supervises and directs supportive personnel. Counsels and educates to promote optimal drug therapy. Directs and assists in the procurement, storage, distribution and disposal of medications.
ResponsibilitiesEvaluates medication orders for appropriateness with regard to patient condition, organ function and concomitant therapies to promote optimal patient outcomes. Documents all activities and communication as appropriate.Directs and manages workflow in focused area of pharmacy practice. Activities include oversight of pharmacists, technicians, interns and volunteers ensuring the accuracy of their work in accordance with departmental procedures and Federal and State regulations.Participates in the delivery of educational programs within and outside of the pharmacy department. Serves on committees at the health service organization.Serves as a lead on the development, review, and implementation of policies and procedures.Provides advanced level support to the professional, operational, and patient care aspects of the pharmacy department. Identifies and implements improvements to the medication use process.Minimum RequirementsEducationBachelor's Degree - Pharmacy
