Job Summary and ResponsibilitiesAs a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will be a central figure in our patient care team, delivering exceptional, compassionate care that truly makes a difference in our patients' lives.
Every day you will collaborate on comprehensive screenings, conduct critical risk assessments, provide vital preventative health education, and expertly coordinate care for diverse patient populations, leveraging technology to streamline processes. You'll ensure patients feel informed and at ease, patiently guiding them through instructions and addressing their concerns.

- The CNS encompasses the following roles: clinical expert, consultant, leader, educator, evidence-based practice advocate, inter and intradepartmental liaison, and resource professional.
- The CNS educates and guides the nursing staff and health care team members in the provision of patient care.
- This care is consistent with the California Nursing Practice Act, Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice, and the Marian Regional Medical Center (MRMC) Code of Conduct.
- The CNS works in collaboration with leaders, physicians, and staff to further the mission, vision and values of MRMC.
Job RequirementsRequired- Master of Nursing
- Three (3) years of clinical experience in neonatal nursing care, one of which shall be in a facility with an NICU the is equivalent to a regional or Community NICU
- Current Registered Nurse: CA (RN:CA)
- Clinical Nurse Specialist Core (CNS-BC)
- Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
