Position Summary:  

Performs the primary function of a Unit Educator in assisting in the design, implementation and evaluation of educational programs for the Cardiothoracic/Surgical Intensive Care Unit. Coordinates and develops programs using evidence-based practice standards. Serves on committees that maintain and improve the quality of nursing standards and practice. Maintains on-going professional nursing competence pertinent to the assigned clinical area and responsibilities. Performs in the clinical role in assessing, planning, implementing, educating, and evaluating a designated group of patients in accordance with all established Nursing Standards and Hospital Policies. Is responsible for managing all assigned personal supplies, equipment on the unit, and for promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission and values.

Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:    

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) 

Experience: Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience in critical care.

Licensure: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Missouri
