Job Description:
Job Summary

Responsible for executing and supporting the design, optimization, and sustainment of integrated clinical information systems to improve quality, safety, and operational efficiency. Applies advanced knowledge of workflow analysis, requirements gathering, and solution design aligned to evidence-based practice, interoperability standards (e.g., HL7 FHIR), and evolving market trends in EHR optimization, clinical decision support, analytics, and digital health. Collaborates with clinicians, IT, and governance groups to implement and validate solutions, ensuring data accuracy, usability, and successful adoption. Contributes to continuous improvement efforts that enhance clinical workflows, system performance, and compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.

Essential Functions
• Performs advanced requirements gathering, workflow analysis, and design across multidisciplinary clinical areas to support system optimization.
• Builds, configures, and validates clinical information system components,, decision support tools, and interoperability use cases in alignment with enterprise standards, safety practices, and data governance.
• Collaborates with analysts to execute testing strategies including test scripts, UAT coordination, defect triage, and readiness sign-off for go-live and upgrades.
• Develops and refines reports and analytics to evaluate data quality, outcomes, and adoption metrics, contributing to improvement initiatives.
• Executes project tasks and milestones, manages risks and issues, and communicates status to sponsors, governance committees, and stakeholders.
• Acts as a resource for analysts and clinical users by providing advanced technical and workflow guidance on complex system issues.
• Partners with clinical leaders to embed evidence-based content, usability enhancements, and standardization that improve clinician experience and throughput.
• Collaborates with training teams to ensure role-based education, change adoption plans, and measurement of user proficiency post-implementation.
• Identifies opportunities for process improvement and participates in initiatives that enhance reliability, cost-effectiveness, and clinical effectiveness.
• Participates in governance and committee discussions to provide input on solution design, workflow alignment, and policy adherence.
• Develops and maintains business/system requirements documentation and supports workflow redesign to align with best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree

Experience Requirement: 5+ years of experience in healthcare clinical care, external measures, quality, and safety. Registered nurse preferred.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. All experience must be paid and in the same related field. Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week. Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.
