About the Job

The Clinical Equipment Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, service coordination, equipment planning, and vendor management for the Clinical Equipment Team. This role serves as the operational leader between the field, vendors, operations teams, and the Director of Equipment, ensuring equipment standards, responsiveness, accountability, and preventive planning are executed consistently across supported offices. This position requires strong technical knowledge of dental equipment, operational discipline, strong communication skills, and the ability to lead initiatives to improve systems and processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee equipment support operations for an assigned region of offices.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for equipment issues, service coordination, and replacement planning.
  • Develop and maintain equipment service standards, workflows, and response expectations.
  • Maintain and oversee equipment warranty tracking, preventive maintenance schedules, and extended warranty renewals.
  • Review repair history, equipment lifecycle data, and office needs to make strategic repair versus replacement recommendations.
  • Partner with Operations Teams and office leadership to provide equipment recommendations, budgeting insight, quotes, and purchasing guidance.
  • Manage vendor relationships and coordinate service providers to ensure quality, responsiveness, and cost efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot, triage, and assist in diagnosing equipment issues to improve service accuracy and minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate closely with Facilities, Construction, IT, and Operations teams on office expansions, remodels, relocations, and de novo projects.
  • Monitor equipment inventory and forecast future replacement needs and capital planning opportunities.
  • Create reporting, track KPIs, and maintain accurate updates through Monday.com and Microsoft Teams.
  • Participate in weekly leadership, operations, and project meetings.
  • Assist in building scalable systems, documentation, and processes for the Clinical Equipment Department.


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in the dental industry with strong knowledge of dental equipment and equipment systems.
  • Previous leadership, project management, or operational management experience preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate with a high level of organization and accountability.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with operations, facilities, construction, and vendors.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Monday.com, and equipment tracking/reporting systems.
  • Candidate must reside in the Dallas area.
