Qualifications

  • Collaborate with the Clinical Documentation Team to align educational initiatives with organizational goals.

Short Description

Reporting to the Manager of the Clinical Documentation Team the Clinical Documentation Educator, through diverse assignments, supports and participates in educational activities to improve of the quality, completeness and accuracy of clinical documentation for Cooper University Physicians (CUP.)

Experience Required

Physician coding and compliance experience with significant emphasis on/strong background in Evaluation and Management services.

Training and presentation experience with physicians and other clinicians both individually and in groups.

Accomplished in the preparation of PowerPoint presentations and other supplemental training materials.

Previous work experience in the auditing and coding of professional clinical documentation; both handwritten and electronic medical records.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree preferred; Associates degree in Nursing or other relevant Associate degree also considered.

License/Certification Requirements

CPC and/or CCS-P; Nursing certification and/or Compliance certification a plus

Valid Driver's License (will need to travel to CUH satellite locations as necessary)
