DescriptionJob Summary Supervise a designated clinical program and its staff to ensure high-quality service delivery. Responsible for day-to-day operations, staff oversight, documentation review, and compliance with clinical standards and regulatory requirements. Serve as a key point of accountability for program performance and client outcomes within a defined service area.

- Supervise clinical staff and daily operations of assigned program
- Monitor service delivery to ensure compliance with clinical standards and regulatory requirements
- Provide coaching, feedback, and performance support to team members
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training of clinical staff
- Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to coordinate services
- Review documentation and ensure accuracy in electronic health records
- Support crisis response and escalation protocols as needed
- Contribute to program development and quality improvement initiatives
Position Requirements Minimum Qualifications-Education and Experience - Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in clinical services or behavioral health
- Licensure required based on program scope (e.g., LCSW, LPC)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic documentation systems
- OR?an equivalent combination of education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities that demonstrates the capacity to perform the essential functions of the position, as permitted by applicable regulatory standards.
- Possession of a valid Virginia driver's license and a satisfactory driving record in accordance with agency policy.
Preferred Qualifications - Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related field
- Experience supervising clinical teams or behavioral health programs
- Familiarity with Medicaid, DBHDS, and behavioral health regulations
- Training in trauma-informed care, motivation
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Knowledge of behavioral health systems, clinical standards, and supervision practices
- Skill in coaching, mentoring, and performance management
- Skill in documentation review and regulatory compliance
- Ability to manage team dynamics and support service excellence
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff, clients, and external partners
- Ability to contribute to program development and strategic planning
- Ability to learn and retain processes through instruction and apply them independently
- Ability to identify potential problems or detect when something may be likely to go wrong
Supervisory Responsibilities - This position oversees day-to-day operations and may assign work, monitor performance, and provide feedback. May contribute to performance evaluations and participate in hiring decisions but does not have final authority over personnel actions.
Work Environment and Physical Demands This role, generally performs work under the following conditions:
- Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. While this role may involve desk-based tasks, employees must be able to ambulate independently, operate a motor vehicle, and transition between office and field environments. Field-based responsibilities may include walking short distances, climbing stairs, and carrying essential work items such as a laptop.
- Close concentration, visual attention and need for manual dexterity required.
- Normal working conditions. Work is typically performed in a standard behavioral health environment with minimal exposure to environmental hazards.
