Clinic Administrator

Behavioral Health - Lakeview

We are seeking an experienced leader to manage the day-to-day operations of one or more medical office practices with a complex scope. This role is responsible for driving performance in patient access, quality, patient experience, and financial outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the clinic, supervising staff and coordinating patient access, scheduling, clinical support services, and diagnostic operations.
  • Assign and monitor staff duties to ensure efficient workflows and high-quality patient care.
  • Standardize and improve procedures to increase efficiency and control costs.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of records, files, and reports in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Manage facility operations, including equipment, supplies, vendor relationships, and inventory.
  • Recruit, hire, train, evaluate, and manage staff performance and development.
  • Approve time records and leave, maintain personnel records, and oversee staff orientation and training programs.
  • Foster effective communication with staff, providers, and patients; lead staff meetings and serve as liaison with organizational leadership.
  • Prepare financial and operational reports, develop and manage the clinic budget, and monitor revenue cycle and accounts receivable.
  • Oversee payroll reporting, purchasing, and vendor invoices to ensure financial accuracy and cost control.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and maintain policies that support regulatory readiness.
  • Promote safety, risk management, and emergency preparedness while protecting patient and organizational information.


Qualifications

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or health care management, or a related field; OR four (4) years of related health care experience in lieu of degree required.
  • Preferred: Master's degree in business or health care management.

Experience:
  • 5+ years of leadership experience, including process improvement required.
  • 4+ years of clinical management or equivalent healthcare management experience, including accounts receivable (billing and collections) and ICD-9/CPT coding required.
  • Preferred: 4+ years experience in personnel management, facility management, financial management, budgeting, and computer proficiency.

License(s)/Certification(s):
  • IA/IL Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training in state(s) where providing care within 60 days of hire.
  • IA/IL Adult Dependent Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training in state(s) where providing care within 60 days of hire.
