SymphonyAI Retail, Inc. seeks a Client Success Lead in Palo Alto, CA.

Job Description

Duties:
  1. Systems Architecture & Technical Solution Ownership
    1. Serve as the technical owner for the design, configuration, and ongoing optimization of complex retail space planning and assortment management systems supporting enterprise Retail and CPG clients.
    2. Analyze client business requirements and translate them into scalable system architectures, data models, and integration workflows across AI driven optimization platforms and third
    3. party retail systems.
    4. Lead technical solution planning and system reviews with client and internal stakeholders, ensuring system performance, reliability, security, and alignment with operational objectives.
    5. Monitor deployed system architectures to proactively identify performance risks, data inconsistencies, or integration issues and coordinate remediation efforts across engineering and product teams.
  2. Retail Systems & Domain Specific Architecture (Assortment, Space & Planogram)
    1. Design and configure end to end system solutions that support assortment planning, space optimization, and planogram generation by integrating business rules, product attributes, and fixture data.
    2. Define and maintain system logic and workflows supporting assortment lifecycle activities, including SKU rationalization, product introductions, range optimization, and discontinuation analysis using structured sales and inventory data.
    3. Architect and optimize space planning and layout systems, including floor space allocation logic, category adjacencies, traffic modeling assumptions, and fixture utilization parameters.
    4. Act as a technical subject matter expert for planogram systems, including:
      1. Product and fixture data modeling (dimensions, facings, orientation, stacking),
      2. Rule based constraint engines,
      3. Automated and AI assisted layout generation processes.
    5. Design and implement planogram compliance and validation frameworks, including store clustering methodologies, exception handling logic, and system driven compliance reporting.
    6. Architect and maintain system integrations between legacy space management platforms (e.g., Blue Yonder/JDA, Spaceman, Apollo) and AI driven optimization engines, ensuring accurate data flow, transformation, and representation at scale.
  3. Systems Integration, Performance & Technical Improvement
    1. Lead structured technical problem solving and root cause analysis sessions to address system configuration issues, data quality defects, integration failures, and workflow bottlenecks.
    2. Define, document, and maintain system runbooks, architectural diagrams, data flow documentation, and operational playbooks to enable consistent and scalable system deployment.
    3. Partner closely with engineering and product teams to define system enhancements, architectural improvements, and integration requirements, contributing directly to technical roadmap planning.
  4. Cross Functional Technical Collaboration & Solution Enablement
    1. Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Data Science, and Sales teams to ensure cohesive system design, handoff, and lifecycle management from pre sale technical scoping through deployment and optimization.
    2. Coordinate with external system integrators, data providers, and retail technology vendors to resolve system dependencies, integration constraints, and architectural alignment issues.
    3. Represent system and client operational requirements in product planning forums, sprint reviews, and architecture discussions to ensure enterprise grade solution delivery.

Support solution design and technical validation efforts for new business by contributing system architecture models, integration designs, and technical inputs for proposals and demos.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Data Management, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or related field plus 4 years of experience. Also requires 4 years of experience with the following: leading large-scale client engagements for Retail and CPG customers, driving end-to-end delivery of Assort & Space product implementations; directing platform migrations of the Apollo and Assort & Space systems, ensuring seamless transition through cross-functional alignment and risk-managed execution; architecting data integration and migration pipelines, enabling reliable, scalable, and cloud-native data flows on Azure; driving data accuracy, performance optimization, and validation across systems, including algorithm migrations and reporting improvements; and enabling client success through hands-on training, solution adoption, and continuous optimization, while managing enhancement roadmaps.
