Description and Requirements

The Opportunity

The Client Service Consultant is responsible for overall accountability and account management for client request, leading projects, providing alternative solutions, identifying possible plan design alternatives, acting as a liason between the client and internal MetLife teams. Leads and participates in client account audits and strategic planning. Leads in customer and internal facing presentations and meetings to build lasting trusting relationships for overall account management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of accountability for client requests, acting as a liaison between clients and internal MetLife teams to provide consultative solutions, identify plan design alternatives, and drive issue resolution and troubleshooting.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service through proactive communication, responsiveness to client needs, and a strong commitment to ongoing client satisfaction and delivery.
  • Lead and participate in client- and internal-facing presentations, meetings, and strategic planning processes, including client account audits and strategy discussions.
  • Establish specific processes and reports, review contract documents, complete broker agreements, create process manuals, and ensure accurate data input in MetLife systems.
  • Lead projects and cross-functional initiatives, collaborating with internal partners to support successful outcomes and performing additional duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years relevant business experience.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; self-motivated with a proactive learning mindset.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to use approved AI tools to support routine tasks such as drafting, summarizing, organization information, and improving day-to-day efficiency.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; self-motivated approach to learning, professional development, and expanding business knowledge.
  • Ability to build strong customer and broker relationships through proactive communication, consultative support, and consistent follow-through, with comfort presenting in both virtual and in-person settings.
  • Experience working with cross-functional partners to research issues, resolve escalations, document outcomes, and identify process improvement opportunities.


The expected salary range for this position is $76,000 to $86,000 . This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
