Full Job Description
The Client Relationship Marketing Associate Director for a large, Communications, Media and Technology (CMT) account, is part of our cross-market CMT marketing team. The role is designed to lead marketing strategies for this account that will help drive client relationships, revenue, and reputation. What others call account-based marketing, we call Client Relationship Marketing at Accenture.

This is the strategic growth and reputation lead for one of Accenture's largest global accounts. The role shapes how Accenture shows up with this account and its clients: strengthening executive relationships, building a sharper account narrative, and turning marketing into a visible driver of pipeline origination, growth and commercial outcomes.

The person in this role will operate as a trusted advisor to account leadership at the intersection of client engagement, market positioning, relationship intelligence, and growth strategy. It requires executive presence, strong judgment, commercial orientation, and the ability to move credibly in a fast-moving client environment.

For the right candidate, this is a high-impact opportunity to build a modern model of client relationship marketing: part strategist, part storyteller, part experience architect, and part growth catalyst.

Key responsibilities:

Client Relationship & Influence Strategy
• Lead the account's executive engagement strategy, identifying priority stakeholders, relationship gaps, emerging influencers, and engagement opportunities across the client's ecosystem.
• Maintain a dynamic view of relationship health, engagement cadence, stakeholder evolution, and whitespace opportunities to inform account strategy and prioritization.
• Develop and maintain rich client profiles using insights from social media, speaking engagements, podcasts, public commentary, and other signals to deepen understanding of stakeholder values and priorities.
• Use relationship intelligence to drive measurable ROI through executive engagement and marketing initiatives that accelerate relationship growth and pipeline opportunities.

Strategic Experiences & Audience Management
• Prioritize strategic investments in engagement opportunities and build a structured account events calendar with clear audience criteria and business intent.
• Curate high-touch client engagement experiences aligned to individual interests and relationship priorities, including premier sporting and entertainment moments, executive roundtables, client dinners, leadership briefings, and marquee industry events such as Cannes Lions.
• Lead end-to-end execution of client experiences, including audience strategy, briefing materials, run-of-show, measurement approach, and disciplined follow-up.
• Partner closely with the client's marketing and leadership teams to shape joint engagement strategies for key industry moments and tentpole events.

Account Narrative & Client-Facing Marketing
• Define, maintain, and continuously evolve a differentiated account narrative that expresses Accenture's strategic relevance to the client's priorities.
• Develop high-quality client-facing materials for executive conversations, strategic pursuits, relationship development, proposals, and priority account moments.
• Create targeted offshoots of the core narrative to evolve client perception in specific domains where Accenture is increasing visibility, educating on capabilities, and reshaping perception.
• Act as guardian of the narrative, ensuring client-facing communications are differentiated, commercially relevant, client-tailored, and consistent across executive engagements, events, thought leadership, campaigns, and internal account communications.

Thought Leadership & Market Presence
• Set the account's thought leadership agenda, including editorial planning, content development, executive visibility, speaking opportunities, and client-relevant insights.
• Shape a distinctive point of view that differentiates Accenture within the client's ecosystem and reinforces Accenture as a strategic growth and transformation partner.
• Partner with internal leaders and subject matter experts to transform client successes, innovation outcomes, emerging capabilities, and strategic initiatives into compelling proof points, executive content, and market-facing narratives.
• Identify opportunities for joint storytelling, shared success narratives, executive presentations, and collaborative market presence with the client.

Go to Market Marketing Support & Partnership Activation
• Represent marketing in the Accenture and client go-to-market relationship, working with senior marketing, business, ecosystem, partnership, and growth leaders across both organizations.
• Develop marketing communications, internally and externally as appropriate, that showcase Accenture as a preferred partner of the client.
• Identify areas of mutual strategic interest and bring innovative marketing and business development opportunities to market.
• Scope note: this role focuses on proactive relationships, reputation-building, client-facing marketing, and account growth. RFP responses and bid management sit outside this remit.

Measurement, Insights & Commercial Impact
• Measure success based on relationship progression, executive engagement, client perception, and commercial impact.
• Use data, analytics, stakeholder intelligence, proprietary tools, and Gen AI to prioritize investments, sharpen insights, optimize outcomes, and demonstrate impact.
• Create a clear line of sight between marketing activity and pipeline so account leadership can point to specific opportunities where marketing created or accelerated the conversation.

What success looks like

In the first 6-12 months, a successful candidate will have:
• Established a live, well-maintained relationship map that Global Account Leadership and Origination trust and actively use.
• Built a structured events calendar with defined audience criteria, relationship objectives, and follow-up rigor for each touchpoint.
• Delivered a suite of high-quality client-facing materials used in proposals, executive conversations, and other priority account moments.
• Earned recognition from both the client and internal leadership as a strategic marketing authority for the account whose judgment on positioning, relationships, and pipeline is actively sought.
• Demonstrated measurable deepening of senior-level relationships through more executive contacts, higher-warmth interactions, and fewer stale relationships in the relationship map.
• Established a clear line of sight between marketing activity and pipeline, with specific opportunities where marketing created or accelerated the conversation.
