Full Job Description
Mead & Hunt, an award-winning national architecture and engineering firm, has continued to exceed our strategic growth initiatives, creating opportunities for our current and prospective team members. As a result, a full-time position is available for an experienced Client Project Manager to join our Transportation Group.

As a Client Project Manager, you will be responsible for:
  • Leading transportation project teams, including management of project scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
  • Managing transportation planning, design, and construction projects for state DOTs, local municipalities, counties, and other public sector clients.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships while serving as the primary point of contact for project delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Partnering with leadership to identify, pursue, and win new transportation projects and contracts.
  • Preparing and overseeing project work plans, fee proposals, contracts, budgets, schedules, and resource planning.
  • Leading client meetings and coordinating with regulatory and funding agencies.
  • Monitoring project performance and implementing corrective actions as needed to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Performing QA/QC reviews and ensuring compliance with company and client standards.
  • Supporting strategic business development initiatives and maintaining awareness of transportation industry trends and opportunities.


A valid driver's license and travel (approximately 20%) will be required.

The successful candidate must have the following:
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • At least 5 years of relevant transportation engineering and/or project management experience.


The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:
  • 20 or more years of relevant transportation experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Demonstrated success in business development, client relationship management, and winning new work.
  • Experience performing QA/QC reviews and ensuring high-quality project delivery.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and client management skills.
  • Knowledge of applicable transportation design standards, regulations, and funding programs.
