Key responsibilities

Customer Strategy, Partnership & Growth

  • Develop a deep understanding of the customer's goals, business model, supply chain strategy and operational needs, and translate these insights into clear execution priorities and customer roadmaps.
  • Build and sustain trusted customer partnerships through proactive expectation alignment, performance dialogue and value creation that supports retention and mutual growth.
  • Connect customer challenges to Maersk's end-to-end product portfolio, processes and systems, identifying integrated solutions and expansion opportunities that create measurable value.

Value Creation & Financial Acumen

  • Identify optimisation and efficiency opportunities that balance customer value, operational performance and Maersk profitability.
  • Support delivery of contractual commitments and monitor key financial and operational performance indicators.


Operational Excellence, Governance & Risk

  • Own service delivery outcomes against agreed KPIs, contractual commitments and customer expectations, using structured governance, scorecards, SOPs and business reviews.
  • Recognise business risks early, assess potential impact on service, customer confidence, retention, value and revenue and mobilise the right functions to drive timely mitigation and resolution.
  • Apply structured problem-solving to identify root causes, anticipate bottlenecks and implement sustainable corrective actions while maintaining composure under pressure and ambiguity.
  • Use data, digital tools and AI to generate insights, improve decisions, enhance customer solutions and identify opportunities to automate or simplify work.
  • Challenge existing ways of working, learn from outcomes and drive continuous improvement and innovation that make a measurable difference to the customer and the business.

Stakeholder Management & Ownership

  • Lead the account across functions, building alignment, resolving competing priorities and driving accountability and ownership.
  • Translate complex situations, performance data and options into clear, audience-appropriate messages that enable informed and timely decisions.
We’re looking for
  • Around 8 years of relevant experience in global key account management, end-to-end supply chain optimisation, implementation of complex solutions and transformation management.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in customer partnership, financial acumen, integrator view, owners mindset, programme and project delivery, risk management, followership, communication, learning agility, pioneering, and Digital & AI.
  • Advanced resilience, including the ability to maintain sound judgement, de-escalate tense situations and sustain performance through pressure, uncertainty and change.
  • Strong influencing and communication skills across seniority levels, functions and cultures, with the ability to create alignment and action to derive the desired business outcomes.
  • Ability to connect customer needs and industry trends with Maersk's products and end-to-end capabilities to create sustainable customer and business value.
  • Strong analytical and commercial judgement, with experience using performance and financial insights to protect revenue, improve cost-to-serve and support profitable growth.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
