POSITION SUMMARY

Environmental Works, Inc. (EWI) is looking for a Client Manager to drive industrial and field services sales within a 150-mile radius of the St. Louis area. This role supports the Field Services department while serving as a strategic resource for project managers, operations managers, and clients.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong environmental and industrial services knowledge, proven sales ability, and a commitment to building trusted client relationships, developing new opportunities, and representing EWI with professionalism, urgency, safety, and exceptional service.

CLIENT MANAGER | ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to advance the Environmental Works brand, grow the industrial and field services client base,maintainexisting accounts, and increase revenue streams from current EWI customerswith the support of production and marketing departments.
  • Identify, prospect, qualify, and pursue new opportunities with manufacturing, industrial, transportation, petroleum, municipal, commercial, government, and other clients that require environmental, industrial, emergency response, tank, remediation, waste, or field services supportwith the support of business intelligence department.
  • Develop and increase sales revenue to meet or exceed assigned targets for the St. Louis area and surrounding 150-mile territory.
  • Serve as a trusted sales and account resource to project managers (PMs), operations managers (OMs), field supervisors, technicians, and leadership by supporting account strategies, territory planning, proposal development, contract opportunities, customer communication, and administrative follow-through.
  • Coordinate with PMs and OMs to understand client needs, scope opportunities accurately, communicate service capabilities, and help ensurea high levelof client/customer satisfaction isattained.
  • Support contract negotiations, closing sales, and development of account-specific marketing or pursuit plans.
  • Assistwith pricing, proposal strategy, quote coordination, and handoff of sold work to operations to help ensure clear expectations, efficient scheduling, and quality service delivery.
  • Troubleshoot client concernsregardingservices provided; answer questions from PMs/OMs and clients; and handle complaints ina timely, professional, and solutions-oriented manner.
  • Monitor competitive activity and market conditions; developnew approachesforattainingaccounts andassistingPMs/OMs in growing customer relationships.
  • Keep informed of EWI services, equipment, safety expectations, regulatory considerations, and other general information of interest to customers.
  • Attend trade shows, conferences, client meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities to promote EWI industrial and field services capabilities.
  • Assistwith the planning of sales exhibits, client presentations, sales meetings, and territory development activities, including siteselectionand agenda preparation when needed.

CLIENT MANAGER | INDUSTRIAL & FIELD SERVICES SALES FOCUS

The Client Manager should be able to understand, position, and sell EWI field and industrial services, including but not limited to:
  • Industrial cleaning and maintenance, including confined space entry, air knifing, process and service line jetting, sludge removal, airflow and filter management, combustible dust cleaning, waste management, and equipment/component cleaning.
  • Vacuum truck services, high-volume liquid and air-moving vacuum truck work, railcar cleaning and transfer services including hi-rail support, track pans and pits, service bays and trench drains, grease traps and sumps, clarifiers and digesters, filter media basins, silos, machines, and related industrial systems.
  • High-pressure blasting services, includinghydroblasting, vapor/wet abrasive blasting, dry sand blasting, dry ice blasting, and related surface preparation or cleaning applications.
  • Tank services and tank-related work, including tank cleaning, line jetting, tank inspection support, tank installation/repair/removal, secondary containment, coatings and linings, oil/water separatorinspectionsand maintenance, and aboveground or underground storage tank support.
  • Field services and contracting, including industrial services, tank services, demolition and construction, wastewater treatment, waste transportation and disposal, plant turnarounds, and air, sediment, soil, and groundwater response/investigation services.
  • Emergency response and environmental response support, including spill response, hazardous and non-hazardous material cleanup, short-term site cleanup, long-term remediation/restoration coordination, and compliance-focused follow-up.
  • Remediation, excavation, hauling, soil stabilization, dewatering, dust control, site grading/restoration, heavy equipment operations, and related field implementation support.
  • Promote and sell specialized field equipmentuseand capabilities such as high-pressure washers and linejetters,hydroblasters, air andhydroexcavationequipment, HEPA and mercury vacuum equipment, confined space entry equipment, emergency response equipment, OSRO equipment, and drones/UAV aerial imagery.

CLIENT MANAGER | POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the core work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand, including client meetings, emergency response support, trade shows, conferences, and operational needs.

CLIENT MANAGER | TRAVEL

Regional travel is required within the assigned St. Louis territory and surrounding service area. Travel may be outside the local area and may include occasional overnight travel. This position is expected to be performed through a combination of office, client-facing, field, and travel-based work.

CLIENT MANAGER | REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Three (3) years of field, environmental, industrial, or related sales experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop client relationships, managea salesterritory, pursue new business, and support revenue growth.
  • Ability to communicate technical service capabilities to clients and coordinate effectively with operations, project management, and field teams.

CLIENT MANAGER | PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Advanced training in client management, sales techniques, business development, or account management.
  • Experience selling industrial and field services such ashydroblasting,hydroexcavation, line jetting, tank cleaning, confined space work, vacuum truck services, waste transportation and disposal, emergency response, plant turnarounds, industrial maintenance, demolition/construction, remediation, or related environmental services.
  • Experience working with manufacturing, petroleum, transportation, municipal, utility, commercial, or industrial clients.
  • Knowledge of environmental compliance, safety requirements, industrial site conditions, and service scoping for field-based work.

CLIENT MANAGER | WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a professional office environment and may also require visits to client facilities, industrial sites, field service locations, project sites, and trade show or conference environments. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and related communication tools.

PAY RANGE

$95,000 - $125,000/yr - contingent on experience. This is a base salary position and is not commission based; bonus opportunities are provided based on performance and company goals.
