The Opportunity:As the Claims Representative III - Accident Benefits, you are responsible for handling a portfolio of complex Accident Benefits Claims. You will work independently within your authority and receive support directly from the Specialist, National Accident Benefits Claims.
How you will create impact:- Investigating, interpreting coverage, negotiating and making decisions autonomously, to resolve complex Accident Benefits claims.
- Contacting claimants, clients, lawyers and witnesses in the investigation and resolution of claims.
- Regularly pursues, researches and applies case law to specific facts and share with technical teams.
- Confidently handle mediations and settlement conferences without defense counsel present.
- Coaching, training, and providing technical support to the claims team.
- Providing exceptional client service in accordance with our claims service and quality standards, with the view of enabling the organization to be the industry leader in client engagement.
To join our team:- You have 5 years of progressive Accident Benefits claims experience, including the management of increasingly complex files, with expertise in legal matters and complex claims handling.
- You have a post secondary degree or diploma, preferably a Rehabilitation designation, or pursuing further development.
- You have or are willing to obtain a Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation.
- You have or will attain provincial adjuster license(s) depending on the province of work.
- Expert knowledge of legislation, regulations, legal system Provincial adjuster license(s) maybe required dependent on the province of work.

Salary informationExpected salary range $72,847 - $121,411 (min-max, full range).
Salary placementThe salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.
