  • Analyze policy coverage, make determinations, and draft clear coverage correspondence
  • Communicate claim decisions and updates with policyholders and key stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely documentation within claim files
  • Oversee litigated claims by appointing and managing defense counsel
  • Drive litigation strategy and proactively move cases toward resolution
  • Participate in mediations, settlement discussions, and trials as needed

About the Role

As a Claims Counsel, you will play a critical role in managing complex casualty claims and driving resolution strategies. This position blends legal expertise, analytical thinking, and strategic negotiation. You'll work closely with experienced claims professionals and leadership while handling a diverse portfolio of claims, including litigated matters.
