Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Juris Doctorate preferred.
• 10+ years of legal or technical claims experience required.
• Strong background in complex third-party liability claims.
• Experience with policy limit demands in Florida, Texas, and California essential.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent collaboration skills with primary carriers and defense counsel.
• Extensive knowledge of relevant case law and liability claims procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Technical Claim Managers and Directors.
• Oversee complex Personal Umbrella Liability claims throughout the U.S.
• Analyze and investigate complex coverage issues and provide detailed coverage letters.
• Conduct comprehensive investigations into liability and damages.
• Implement effective resolution strategies for claims including investigation and reserve setting.
• Manage litigation strategies and select outside counsel as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with RLI’s Best Practices in all claims handling activities.
