OverviewPosition Summary
Civil (Senior Engineer) will be based at the project site and will oversee the execution of all civil works, including earthworks, foundations, concrete works, grading, drainage, road works, and associated infrastructure activities. The role involves continuous supervision of site operations to ensure compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, project standards, and applicable codes.
Responsibilities
The position requires close coordination with structural, architectural, and MEP teams to ensure smooth execution across all disciplines. The candidate will regularly assess site conditions, address technical challenges, propose practical solutions, and support the resolution of design deviations or construction issues. Responsibilities include validating formwork and reinforcement arrangements, monitoring concrete quality and placement, reviewing contractor submissions, updating redadline drawings, and supporting preparation of as-built documents. Routine interaction with project managers, consultants, and client teams is expected to maintain construction progress, quality compliance, and adherence to safety guidelines throughout the project.
Qualifications
Candidate should have strong experience working on civil construction sites with solid knowledge of earthworks, concrete technology, grading, site development, and infrastructure execution. Proficiency in interpreting civil and structural drawings is essential. Familiarity with tools such as AutoCAD, along with basic experience in applications like Civil 3D or Navisworks, is an advantage for reviewing details and supporting construction documentation.
A thorough understanding of how civil works interface with architectural, structural, and MEP systems is critical for effective site coordination. The role requires strong ability to identify deviations, assess risks, and guide execution teams with clear, practical technical instructions. Knowledge of U.S. civil engineering standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements is important, along with strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and the confidence to take decisions on the ground. Background in the Iron & Steel sector, with involvement in Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) plant construction activities will be an added preference.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
PE License preferred.
