About this Role
Lead day-to-day construction operations for substation below grade/ foundation projects from mobilization through project closeout.
Manage field teams, subcontractors, superintendents, inspectors, and project personnel to ensure safe and efficient project execution.
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with project specifications, engineering drawings, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
Champion a proactive safety culture by enforcing company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and client-specific safety programs.
Monitor project schedules, productivity, costs, and resource allocation to achieve project milestones and financial objectives.
Collaborate closely with project management, engineering, procurement, environmental, and quality teams to resolve field issues and maintain project momentum.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Identify construction risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize delays and cost impacts.
Lead construction planning meetings, subcontractor coordination meetings, and client progress reviews.

What You'll Do

Strong understanding of transmission systems, substations, foundations, structural steel erection, electrical installation, and utility construction practices.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple subcontractors and large field teams simultaneously.
Proven knowledge of construction scheduling, project controls, budgeting, and cost management.
Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, utility safety standards, and environmental compliance requirements.

What You'll Bring
Preferred Experience
Experience managing projects for investor-owned utilities, electric cooperatives, or municipal utilities.
Background working on transmission projects ranging from 69kV to 500kV.

Familiarity with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Procore, or similar construction management software.
