TRICO Companies, LLC is seeking a full-time Civil Foreman to join our team.
Position Summary
TRICO is seeking an experienced Civil Foreman to lead day-to-day field operations on civil construction projects. This role is responsible for directing assigned crews and subcontractors to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to TRICO's quality standards.
Working under the direction of the Civil Superintendent and in close coordination with the Civil Project Management team, the Civil Foreman leads effective field teams and contributes to strong project outcomes.
What You'll Do
Safety Leadership
- Lead by example to promote a strong safety culture and enforce TRICO safety standards
- Ensure compliance with specific safety plans, JHAs, and PPE requirements
- Address unsafe conditions immediately and escalate serious hazards as needed
- Participate in safety meetings, inspections, and incident reporting
Field Execution & Crew Coordination
- Direct daily activities of crews, equipment, and subcontractors to meet performance, schedule and quality goals
- Assign work, provide clear direction, and monitor performance
- Perform and train crews on civil construction tasks including excavation, trenching and shoring, pipe installation, grading, confined space entry, and sanitary/stormwater systems
- Coordinate with Operators, Pipelayers, Laborers, and other trades to maintain production flow
- Plans, Quality & Documentation
- Read and interpret plans, specifications, and sketches
- Inspect work to ensure compliance with plans, specs, and TRICO quality standards
- Identify deficiencies, implement corrective action, and coordinate RFIs or change needs with the project team
- Complete daily field reports documenting production, safety, and quality
- Submit daily timecards with accurate job and cost coding
Jobsite & Team Leadership
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure jobsite
- Safely use and maintain tools and equipment
- Provide on the job training, coaching, and feedback to TRICO craft employees
- Address performance issues and communicate development needs to the Civil Superintendent
- Participate in project meetings, safety meetings, and company trainings

Basic Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Civil Foreman or equivalent field leadership role in civil construction.
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years experience with underground utility installation, heavy civil construction and Public Works projects
- Working knowledge of environmental best management practices (BMPs)
Preferred Safety & Technical Certifications
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Confined Space Competent Person
- Trenching and Shoring Competent Person
- Certified Erosion and Sediment Control Lead
- Rigging and Qualified Signal Person
Additional Skills
- Proficiency with GPS systems and their field use
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, TRACK, and Bluebeam or comparable construction software

Work Environment
- Primarily outdoors in varying weather and jobsite conditions
- Requires standing, walking, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), working in trenches and confined spaces, and use of appropriate safety equipment
Location
This position is based in Burlington, Washington, with work performed at project sites in surrounding areas.
Vehicle & Equipment
TRICO provides a company vehicle and fuel for travel to and from job sites, along with the for travel to and from job sites.
Compensation
Hourly range: $45.00 - $52.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
